Hey this for all you ppl who like to get down and dirty....CountrysideIndia is a travel company that specializes in outdoorsy kinda travel, adventures, hiking, treks, short trips, mountain biking, the works. They have frequent trips to the north of India, Africa etc. Just look it up.
PS- They always take on only how many ppl they can manage and say a firm NO to more so the whole thing is comfortable and not like a macchi market.

WSD.......

Welfare of Stray Dogs ie WSD is an NGO thats dedicated to the care of stray animals(esp.dogs) in India(esp. Mumbai).

Some of its activities include- First aid for minor injuries rite at the site of the animal(where it stays), vaccination, sterilization, awareness about rabies in schools, and many more.

WSD has a kennel in Mahalaxmi (near Dhobi Ghat) where abandoned dogs, cats and other stufff is kept and thats where they do sterlization operations. It's quite small but thats all the BMC provides.

WSD always is looking for animal lovers who want to volunteer for the first aid programm, walking dogs at kennel, be at the counter during sales event (WSD has their own range of products with cute dogs pix), .

Donations in the form of money, newspapers, rice, dal, blankets, bowls, etc are welcome too

Everything I love bout my city Mumbai

yes i've come to like the name itself after being against it for a few years. Bombay was good too though. now for the real stuff. okay i'm not going to say the people and the attitude and all coz it's been done to death and those are over-hyped anyway. but i like the fact that you can find anything you want here from clothes to books to fitness to entertainment to hangouts to nature(somewhat) to food to houses and hospitals. and good ones too.
